Alongside our evolution of Yasui’s corporate identity, we have been a long-term design and execution partner for the firm, creating the assets and touchpoints that Yasui leadership and team members need to drive awareness and consideration for the firm globally.

Recently we redesigned the Yasui website from the ground up—reimagining it as a dynamic and inviting digital flagship.

Our approach was to place Yasui’s portfolio of work at the heart of the experience. From the very first interaction, users are drawn into a curated showcase of architectural projects that demonstrate the firm’s depth, diversity, and dedication to meaningful design. The interface was crafted to be intuitive, encouraging deeper exploration and creating a sense of discovery as users navigate through the site.

We designed the site to support three languages—English, Japanese, and Chinese. For the English version, we worked closely with experienced transcreators to adapt the original Japanese content. This approach ensured that nuance, tone, and cultural context were preserved, resulting in clear and culturally relevant communication for global audiences.

A key design approach for the website was minimalism. By echoing the clarity, precision, and understated sophistication found in Yasui’s architectural work, we created a framework that feels both timeless and adaptable. This approach reinforces brand consistency, enhances usability, and ensures that the firm’s content—its projects, ideas, and legacy—remains at the forefront.

The result is a website that is elegant, accessible, and aligned with Yasui’s forward-looking vision—a platform that elevates both their story and their work.

To further champion the industry-leading work Yasui has delivered in recent years, we also created a series of project-specific booklets—used by internal teams to reach out to prospective partners and clients.

Among these is “Design Dialogue,” an ongoing editorial series that highlights the people behind each project, their passion and attention to detail, and the project's relationship with surrounding communities.

The visual language of the booklets bridges tradition and modernity — combining traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary editorial design. Each issue features vertical Japanese typesetting printed on tactile, uncoated paper stock, reinforcing a sense of authenticity and craftsmanship. These are paired with dynamic photographic layouts and layered architectural blueprints, emphasizing key design moments in each project and inviting readers into the process.

More than just a design piece, each booklet is the result of deep research and close collaboration. We conduct in-depth interviews with lead architects and team members and personally visit each site to experience the spaces firsthand. This immersive process allows us to understand the unique challenges, design solutions, and broader community impact of each project—ensuring the content remains as insightful as it is visually compelling.

The Design Dialogue series serves not only as documentation but as a window into Yasui’s enduring values and their evolving approach to architecture in society.

We continue to support the firm in many ways; from helping launch their first CSR report, to improving internal communications, to developing the tools and templates needed to bring consistency and distinction to the brand.
