Yasui Architects

Yasui is one of Japan’s largest and most established architectural firms. Its mission is to “encourage people through architecture.”

Yasui commissioned Eat to create a series of communication pieces that conveyed its company philosophy by featuring recently completed projects. This was accomplished by constructing content-driven collateral around building sketches and interviews with architects. Additionally contemporary layouts were combined with vertical Japanese typesetting. Not only did this composition demonstrate Yasui’s understanding of its projects’ impacts on society, it reflected the client’s historical values and fresh approach to designing buildings.
