Japanese organisations cannot compete overseas by reusing their Japanese communication. They must analyse the international competition and provide a better, more compelling offer, just as they have in other areas of industry.

Project Overview

Keio appointed Eat to work with them on the development of a set of communication tools, both online and print, to promote the GIGA programme overseas. So what can a Japanese university offer a foreign student to compete with the best institutions in the US and Europe? In the case of Keio SFC, a lot: as an international leader in information technology, with Japanese and foreign academics working in areas as diverse as quantum computing to Creative Commons licensing, it was a case of Eat helping the university tell its own story. Through branded print collateral, a multilingual website and an ongoing series of video interviews with key members of the GIGA team, the campus is now a much more visible and attractive option for students internationally.
