The western approach of charities doesn’t work in Japan. There is a steep learning curve required for both Western NGOs and the Japanese public before any relationship will produce positive results.

Project Overview

Eat has extensive experience working with charities and NGOs, both international and domestic. In particular, we provide a bridge for international agencies, helping them adjust their message to make it relevant to a more ‘immature market.’ A good example is ONE.

ONE is an international campaigning organisation that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. Eat has worked with ONE over the last five years, raising awareness of the organisation in Japan, the issues affecting global poverty and supporting ONE lobby the Japanese government, as part of the G8 group.

From localising the group’s collateral, building and managing their Japanese website to producing celebrity support videos, we make sure their message gets to where it needs to be heard.
